Kincardine's Morgan Baker was awesome in net for the Bluewater Hawks who took on Durham West last weekend and played to a 2-2 tie, in the PWHL.
Bluewater's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Durham West powerplays.
Bluewater was helped by Emma Forcey, who had one goal. Forcey scored 8:03 into the third period to tie the game at 2-2. Carly Wouters assisted on the tally. Davis Smith also scored for Bluewater, with an assist to Alyssa Simpson.
Bluewater incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
Durham West excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The team's offence rang up 42 shots on the Bluewater net, with Baker stopping 40 of them.
Durham West was helped by Alyssa Gee, who tallied one goal. She scored 5:09 into the third period to make it a 2-1 game for Durham West. Taylor Hicks picked up the assist. Durham West also got a goal from Samantha McKenzie, with assists from Kaitlyn McManus and Katrina Manoukarakis.
Durham West's Rebecca Clark stopped 18 shots out of the 20 that she faced. Durham West incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
