Great crowd, perfect weather for World Fiddle Day in Kincardine

The warm, sunny weather drew a great crowd to World Fiddle Day, held at the east end of Harbour Street, Kincardine, Saturday afternoon.

This is the second year for the event which was held last year in front of the Walker House, at the corner of Harbour and Huron Terrace.

The musicians included 18 fiddlers, four guitarists, a percussionist, and a keyboardist, providing the tremendous backdrop for Irish dancers, step-dancers, and more.

Led by organizer Deb Morris, the event showcased dancers from Irish Dance Canada (owner/director Mary Foley), as well as step-dancers from Devon Ballagh's Studio 410 in Teeswater. Also on stage was fiddler Owen Nixon of Kincardine and other guest performers.

Following the outdoor concert, an open jam session was held at The Bruce Steakhouse.
