Tremendous weather for village-wide yard sale in Ripley

The weather was perfect Saturday for the annual village-wide yard sale in Ripley.

There were yard sales everywhere, as well as the annual book sale at the Ripley Legion, and a couple of lemonade stands.

One yard sale of note was held on Huron Street in support of the Grey-Bruce Gutsy Walk, slated for June 5 in Walkerton.

The team, "It's All Gone To Shitz," had lots of deals for people to browse through and then make a donation toward the walk for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.

 

Thanks to everyone who donated to the Gutsy Walk yard sale, the team raised $1,728.25 for the walk.

Meanwhile, Gail Lotton, a member of "It's All Gone To Shitz," registered for the Gutsy Walk during the March Madness contest and raised at least $50 during the month of March. Her name was entered into a national draw, and she was one of 10 people from across Canada to win a year's supply of toilet paper from the Gutsy Walk national sponsor, Cashmere.

At the yard sale, the Lottons had all 360 rolls of toilet paper, worth about $400, stacked on the front porch.
