Community Foundation Grey Bruce to distribute more than $330,000 in grants May 31

Community Foundation Grey Bruce will distribute more than $330,000 during its spring granting reception at Victoria Jubilee Hall in Walkerton, Tuesday, May 31.

Seventy grants, totalling $187,775, will be distributed to charities and not-for-profit groups, all successful applicants to the foundation's spring deadline. Projects and programs mounted across Grey and Bruce counties will receive support to address needs in the areas of health and wellness, education, arts and culture, environment, recreation and poverty reduction.

 

Additionally, 68 charities and qualified recipients will share in more than $144,000 to be distributed from Donor-Advised Endowed Funds managed by Community Foundation Grey Bruce.

 

"The grant review team was inspired by the imagination and reach of the projects and programs being offered across the two counties," said Joan Eaglesham, chairperson of the grant review team. "The foundation is so pleased to be able to support these fine efforts to improve the quality of life and vitality in the communities of Grey Bruce."

 

The celebration begins at 7 p.m. May 31, at the Victoria Jubilee Hall, 111 Jackson Street South in Walkerton. The public is welcome to attend the granting reception.
