Youth compete in Kincardine Knights of Columbus basketball free throw competition
About a dozen youth took part in the Kincardine Knights of Columbus basketball free throw competition held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 25, at Kincardine District Secondary School.
The objective was to get as many baskets as possible in a number of throws, with the top achievers receiving plaques and moving on to the next level. Those who qualified will advance to the district finals slated for Feb. 21 at St. Joseph's School in Port Elgin.
The winners were:
  • 11-year-old girls - Kalyn Way of Holyrood
  • 11-year-old boys - Ryan Wheeler of Kincardine
  • 12-year-old girls - Elizabeth Casciano of Kincardine
  • 12-year-old boys - Jericho Victor Britos of Kincardine
  • 13-year-old boys - Joshua Catelo of Kincardine
