Pedestrian seriously hurt after being hit by vehicle in Bervie

(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – A pedestrian was seriously hurt and airlifted to hospital in London, after being hit by a mini-van along Highway 9 in Bervie, Saturday afternoon, June 18.

At 12:17 p.m., the South Bruce OPP was called to the scene along with Bruce County paramedics, to find a silver mini-van was involved in the crash.
 

The pedestrian has been airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.
 

Highway 9 was closed between Bervie Sideroad and Sideroad 30 North for most of the day, for the protection of emergency responders.
 

The investigation is in its early stages.
