Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band enjoys hot, dry weather for first parade of the summer

It was a lot dryer and hotter this year, as the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band marched through downtown Kincardine in the first Saturday night parade of the summer, on the weekend.

Last year, rain and cold greeted the pipers and drummers and their faithful followers on their first Saturday night parade.

But it was beautiful weather Saturday night, as people gathered in Victoria Park prior to the parade. At 8 p.m., the band formed up and headed out, with the crowd marching behind, all the way to Quinn Plaza and then back to the park where the band ended the evening with a performance.

It's a great tradition that attracts visitors and locals, alike.
