IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT
(CARRICK TWP, ON) – Jan. 31, at 6:55 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along the Huron-Bruce Road in Carrick Township, stopped a red Ford F150 pick-up truck.
The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Sixty-year-old James HARKNESS of Carrick Township has been charged with impaired driving and operate over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court March 2, to answer to the charges.
IMPAIRED DRIVER CAUGHT SPEEDING
(HURON TWP, ON) – Feb. 1, at 12:16 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Highway 21 in Huron Township, observed a silver Volkswagen Jetta moving at a high rate of speed.
Radar showed the vehicle speed to be 118 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped and the officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Forty-six-year-old Tina WALDEN of Kincardine was charged with operate over-80 milligrams and speeding. She is scheduled to appear in court March 9, to answer to the charges.
