Kincardine Sobeys Peewee girls ring in new year with "BB" banner, gold medals
Jan. 2, the Kincardine Sobeys Peewee “B” girls rep. team travelled to Guelph to participate in the 2015 GGHA 16th Annual Tournament. Due to the number of registrants, the girls had to register and play a step up in the “BB” division.

The Kinucks began their journey by facing off against the North Halton Twisters. Kincardine dominated the game, taking a 4-0 victory.

Game 2 was played Saturday against the Wilmot Wolverines, and the Kinucks again earned a shut-out win, 2-0.
Later that day, the girls faced off against the Waterloo Ravens. This game was a little tighter with the Kinucks taking a 1-0 victory and a place in the semi-finals.

Sunday, the Kinucks faced off against the Wilmot Wolverines once again for a chance to make it to the finals. This game went into overtime and then a shoot-out with Kincardine earning the extra point to take the girls to the gold-medal round with a 2-1 win.

The gold-medal game was between the Kincardine Kinucks and the North Halton Twisters.
With their skates laced, hair braided and game faces on, the girls went out pumped and ready to play their game ... and that they did with a final score of 2-0 for the Kinucks, earning them the Peewee “BB” Tournament banner and a gold medal each!

Congratulations, ladies!
