The Kincardine Fall Fair will feature a midway this year, for the first time in almost two decades.
Fall fair ambassador Hailey Allen (above), speaking on behalf of the Kincardine Agricultural Society, said the 165th annual fair will run Sept. 2-4, under the theme, "Country Fun for Everyone."
"Cope Amusement" will operate the midway Friday night, and all day Saturday and Sunday, she said. "Ride all day" bracelet promotions will soon be available - for more information, visit www.copeamusements.com
"I am pleased to say that this year, we have six contestants running for the title of 2016-17 Kincardine Fall Fair ambassador," said Hailey. "Added to that Friday evening event, is a pie and cake auction, with Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb as the auctioneer!"
Also new to the fair, is Touch the Truck, Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., part of the TD Kids Corner, which also features a petting farm, children's activities, and remote control car track (so bring your remote control car).
The Saturday Night Dance returns for its second year, with Steve Deer and his band, and local DJ Austin Rees. And the fair continues to host animal shows, exhibits, a quilt draw, and the magnificent parade from Victoria Park to the fairgrounds at Connaught Park.
