Balmy, summer weather for ladies at Ainsdale; great day for senior men's scramble

Tuesday saw a continuation of the balmy, summer weather, and it was just what Heather Struthers needed to show her stuff. Ask Heather how it feels to card two chip-ins on the same day for a total of four this season

 

The flight winners for Stableford points were:
 

  • A  Barb Grubb  29
  • B  Anne Burton  32
  • C  Jean Rhude  30
  • D  Pat Emmerton  36
  • E  Joanna Malott  27

 

The low-putters per flight were recorded by:
 

  • A  Denise Tighe  13
  • B  Cathy Chambers 15
  • C  Anne Rock  14
  • D  Heather Struthers
  • E  Sandy Black  19

 

The sponsored-hole winners for closest to the line, were:  Karen Neilipovitz,  Jennifer Lawrie,  Jean Rhude and  Bonnie Ritchie.

The longest drives are the result of efforts by Kathy Mackay,  Laura Haight,  Kim Williams and  Jan Kelly.

The longest putt was dropped by Beth Mimnagh while Jennifer Lawrie was closest to the sprinkler head.

There were a total of 27 ladies who will enjoy a free Blizzard, courtesy of Dairy Queen.
 

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
 

Another great day for the Senior Men's Scramble at Ainsdale, Wednesday.

Playing off the forward tees, the team of Ron McDonald, Kenton Ehgoetz, Paul Pickett and Ken Gannett, topped the field with a fine minus-six score on the front nine. 

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Paul Pickett on No. 3 and Bob Bull on No. 8.
