MAN ARRESTED AT CAR WASH
(WALKERTON, ON) – Nov. 1, at 10:03 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at the Walkerton Car Wash, located along Durham Street West in Walkerton.
Officers arrived to find a black Volkswagen Jetta was in a wash bay and a white GMC pick-up truck was stopped at the entrance to the wash bay. The Jetta’s tires were squealing and it was up against the truck.
The driver of the Jetta, 24-year-old Shawn OERING of Hanover, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, assault with a weapon, possession of break-in tools and two counts of theft under $5,000. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for Nov. 2.

POLICE INVESTIGATING DAYTIME BREAK-IN
(TARA, ON) – Nov. 1, at 6:01 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a daytime break-in at a residence along Brook Street East in Tara.
Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 1, the home was forcibly entered. The list of missing property includes a black Hewlett-Packard laptop, a black Toshiba laptop, and assorted pieces of jewellery. The value of the stolen items is estimated to be more than $4,300.
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN TRAILER
(HURON TWP, ON) – Oct. 29, at 2:36 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a stolen utility trailer at a residence in the 100 block of Bruce Beach Road in Huron Township.
Sometime between Oct. 22 and Oct. 29, a black 10’ x 5’ utility trailer, with Licence No. K48501, was taken. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen trailer at this time.
