Love and chocolate celebrated at Trillium Court Seniors' Community

Love was in the air, as well as the smell of chocolate and delicious treats, as a great crowd of residents, guests, and staff at Trillium Court Seniors' Community enjoyed the "For the Love of Chocolate" event, Thursday afternoon.

Most people wore red to mark Valentine's Day (Feb. 14), and there was a grand display of wedding photos, including one belonging to Blanche Jennings, a resident of Trillium Court, who was married Sept. 27, 1939. She will be 94 in July.

Providing some terrific entertainment, were "Bob and Friends," featuring Bob Gallant and Gail Jamieson of Lurgan Beach, Marion Emmerton of Bruce Beach, and Russ O'Handley and Gord McDonald of Kincardine.

Besides the delectable chocolate buffet, people were encouraged to purchase goodies from the bake table, and lottery tickets for great prizes. All money raised was going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
