KDSS junior boys volleyball team ends season with silver at CWOSSA

The Kincardine District Secondary School junior boys volleyball team travelled to Waterford, Nov. 17, and brought home silver from the CWOSSA ‘A’ championship. 

The Knights played their best volleyball of the season, winning all three pool-play matches, defeating Valley Heights High School, 25-12 and 25-18; Rockway Mennonite College, 25-18, 23-25 and 16-14; and finally, Emmanuel Christian High School, 25-14, 25-21. 

The boys had a rematch against Rockway in the final, starting strong in the first set, but giving up their lead at the end of the game, losing 26-24. The junior Knights stormed back in the second set, winning 25-21. Unfortunately, they came up short in the third and decisive set, losing 15-7, but had reached their goal, set at the start of the season, which was to compete for the CWOSSA title.
 
The Knights had a great season overall, finishing second in the BAA south league, and winning silver in the BAA championship against Saugeen District Secondary School. The Knights also won the Paris Invitational Tournament, winning decisively over much-larger schools. Congratulations on a great season!
