It sure was a good week to get some home projects done while we were grounded with the closed roads. Hope everyone stayed safe and warm.
 
'Tis the season for concerts – Janet Rhody enjoyed the concert of Zarian and Xavier Zuk at Formosa; the Cantata at the Teeswater Presbyterian Church was lovely; Knox Presbyterian Church in Ripley had a delightful Candlelight Service; and the Pine River United Church hosted a wonderful Christmas Cantata. Thank you, everyone, for all your planning and hard work.
 
Donna and Perry Elliott hosted the family of the late Jean and Johnny MacDonald at their home, Saturday, for the extended MacDonald family.
 
The family of Irene and Francis Boyle gathered at the Purple Grove Community Centre, Sunday.
 
The Dropperts brought supper to her parents, Joyce and John Farrell, Sunday evening.
 
Fran and Jim Farrell returned home from cold Winnipeg. They visited with their daughter and family, Chris, Monty, Tyson and Cooper VandeSype. While in the West, they also visited with Nicole and Gaston Boulanger at Hartney, and with Velma and Colin Moore at Moosomin, Saskatchewan.
 
Mary Anne Kukoly hosted coffee gatherings for the ladies of the SMART exercise program, and the Ripley Walking Group, last week.
