Police arrest Brockton man after family-dispute investigation

(BRANT TWP, ON) – Dec. 19, the South Bruce OPP closed Bruce County Road 4, between Bruce County Road 19 and Bruce County Road 22 (between Walkerton and Hanover), due to a weapon-involved, family-dispute investigation.

Members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit, OPP Negotiators, and West Region OPP Tactical Rescue Unit, assisted the South Bruce OPP with this investigation. The accused was taken into custody without incident.

Twenty-four-year-old Bradley CASKENETTE of Brockton has been charged with two counts of fail to comply and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

This was an isolated incident. There was no threat to public safety.

The road was closed around 9 a.m., and by 6 p.m., the barriers were removed and Bruce County Road 4 was open for traffic.
