Kincardine Peewees, Novices play hard but only Bantams make it to finals at Silver Stick
The Kincardine Novices and Peewees played hard, but only the Bantam Kinucks have made it to the finals at the Kincardine Regional Silver Stick tournament. The championship games run tomorrow (Friday) at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
The Novices lost their first game, 5-2, to Saugeen Shores; beat Mitchell, 8-1; and were edged, 4-3, by Hanover in their final game.
The Peewees blanked BCH, 5-0; shut out Tavistock, 5-0; but then lost their final game by a close 3-2 score, to Mitchell.
The Bantams went undefeated, downing BCH, 5-2; Mitchell, 4-0; South Huron, 4-1; and Tavistock, 3-1. They now take on the Twin Centre Stars for the Bantam "B" final tomorrow at 4:45 p.m., at the Davidson Centre. Blyth/Brussels faces West Grey in the "C" final.
In the Novice division, Blyth/Brussels faces Shallow Lake in the "C" final, while Saugeen Shores takes on Hanover in the "B" final.
And in the Peewee division, Hagersville takes on West Grey in the "C" final, and Mitchell takes on the winner of the Tavistock-South Huron game, in the "B" final.
