The headliner for Friday night is Dallas Smith who performed at Lucknow's Music in the Fields in 2013. He will be joined by Jess Moskaluke and Runaway Angel.
Saturday night's headliner is The Band Perry, the hugely-popular group, fronted by Kimberly Perry, with her younger brothers, Neil and Reid. The award-winning band has notched a string of hit singles, including the quadruple-platinum “If I Die Young,” the platinum “You Lie,” and the Country No. 1 “All Your Life.”
Also performing Saturday, are Livy Jeanne, Autumn Hill, Chad Brownlee and Easton Corbin. Brownlee graced the Music in the Fields stage in 2012, while Autumn Hill performed in 2013.
A limited number of weekend passes will be available, for the promotional deal of $100 each, plus HST, starting Friday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. until Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m., by going on-line at www.ticketscene.ca and using the promo-code KINREC.
Early Bird weekend passes will then be available from Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. until they are sold out, at a cost of $110 each, plus HST. Tickets and campsites are available only on-line. Last year's event was a sell-out, so be sure to get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
Working hard since September, the committee, along with its producers, has put together this terrific line-up. One of the club's goals from the very start was to try and promote up-and-coming Canadian country artists, along with established artists, and the Kinsmen believe they have been successful once again with this year's line-up.
Always looking to create a more enjoyable experience, another goal was to continue improving the event, making things better for those attending this premier two-day country music festival. With more than 1,100 campsites sold last year, camping has become a huge part of that experience and will continue to be.
A critical part of the success of Lucknow's Music in the Fields lies with the more than 500 volunteers who help every year with this event. The Kinsmen appreciate the hard work and dedication of these individuals and groups, and without their help, the club would not be able to put on this amazing show year after year.
Despite being a great festival, we cannot forget that Lucknow's Music in the Fields is the primary fund-raiser for the Kinsmen, and the profits are returned back to our communities. Money raised over the years has gone to many different areas – hospitals, schools, Cystic Fibrosis, area service clubs, etc.
