No Swimming signs posted south of the south pier at Station Beach, Kincardine
Signs have been posted at Station Beach, Kincardine, indicating there is No Swimming allowed south of the south pier.
While swimmers may have just noticed the signs, Kincardine recreation director Karen Kieffer says they have been there since July of last year.
"The 'No Swimming' zone extends south of the south pier to the area where the wooden fence is, as well as the entrance to the emergency road, and the volleyball area," says Kieffer. "There are seven signs posted in total, indicating No Swimming.”
She says there are plans in the works to add another sign to that beach area, stating “Warning – Strong Current,” so it is clearer as to why this area has been designated a “No Swimming” zone.
