Ainsdale ladies enjoy glorious hot weather, while senior men have rain delay
The ladies were still using their sunscreen for their final regular league play, Tuesday, at Ainsdale Golf Course.

Debbie Pegg and Anne Rock put on a putting clinic for others to envy, each carding five one-putts on the front nine.

The top two for Stableford points this week, by flight, were:

  • A - Karen Neilipovitz 21,  Jennifer Lawrie 18
  • B - Nancy Stewart 22,  Sharon MacDonald 19
  • C - Jean Rhude 19,  Marianne Irwin 18
  • D - Una MacDonald 20,  Shelly Pollock 20
  • E - Deb Brindley 27,  Muriel Cochrane 24

The low putters for the day were  Cathy Chambers 17,  Debbie Pegg 13,  Anne Rock 14,  Una MacDonald 14, and Deb Brindley 18.

There were 16 lucky draw winners of a sleeve of golf balls, courtesy of Ainsdale Golf Course.

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE

A brief rain delay may have spoiled the season of perfect weather for the Senior Men's Scramble at Ainsdale, Wednesday, but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of another great turn-out for the final event of the year.

Leading the way, with a fine minus-five score on the front nine, was the team of Harvey Lootsma, Ray Kester and Hugh Jones.

One stroke back, in second place, were Gary Firth, Harry Hicks and Steve MacEachern.

The day ended with a scrumptious meal and year-end draw prizes for all competitors.

Many thanks to Dave Blenkinsop and Gary Firth for the outstanding job they did organizing this event, once again, this season.
