Experiencing the eclipse in Bedfordshire, England

To the Editor:

This photo was taken in my back garden this morning (March 20) in Bedfordshire, England.

The whole eclipse experience was awesome - as it got darker, with the birds all confused and the blackbirds shouting bedtime from the conifers.

It also got noticeably cooler, although I was only in my slippers and favourite cardigan.

It will be a few more weeks before that could be contemplated in Kincardine, although I see, by the Kincardine Lighthouse webcam, that it is getting warmer.

Then the eclipse was over and the sun came out again - how good did those rays feel!
