Ripley Horticultural Society hosts Mr. and Mrs. Egghead event for youngsters
Members of the Ripley and District Horticultural Society welcomed 33 youngsters to the Mr. and Mrs. Egghead March Break event, held Wednesday afternoon at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre.
Twenty-six adults, including mothers and grandmothers, helped the children plant watercress in egg shells, and decorate them to create the characters. They then played Bingo and an Egg Race, along with several other activities.
Young people, ages six to 17, are welcome to join the horticultural society's youth club which meets May 16, June 20, July 18, Aug. 15, Sept. 19 and Oct. 17. For details, contact Tryntje Eisen at eisendeel@hotmail.com
