Bulldogs blank Goderich in first three games of playoff series
The Kincardine Bulldogs of the Provincial Junior Hockey League, blanked Goderich in the first three games of their opening playoff series, on the weekend.
Kincardine hosted Game 1, Friday night at the Davidson Centre, and zapped the Goderich Flyers, 3-0. Scorers were Jordan Caskenette, Brett Burrows and Tyler Sutter, with assists to Logan Freiburger, Logan Swanton, Joshua Traynor, Derrick Bernath and Brady Richards.
The Bulldogs travelled to Goderich Saturday night for Game 2, and came home with a 4-0 win. Scorers were Damien Demarco-Sutton and Traynor with two piece. Assists went to Trevor Donaldson, Robert White and Burrows.
Back in Kincardine, Sunday afternoon, the 'Dogs blanked the Flyers again, 4-0. Scorers were Burrows, Sutter, Mike Fiegehen and Bernath, with assists to Keegan Angel, Hunter Robins-Gibbons, Freiburger and Swanton.
The Bulldogs travel to Goderich, Friday night, for Game 4 when they could add another shut-out and win the series.
Otherwise, they are back at the Davidson Centre for Game 5, Saturday night at 7:20 p.m., followed by Game 6 in Goderich, Sunday afternoon, and Game 7 in Kincardine, Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 7:55 p.m., if necessary.
