Kincardine Legion Peewees end season as OMHA silver medalists
The Kincardine Legion Peewee Kinucks ended the season with Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) silver medals after being edged out, 1-0, in Game 5 of the finals against the Ayr Flames, April 1 at the Davidson Centre, Kincardine.
The game was a hard-fought battle, with the Kinucks trying in vain to defeat the Ayr goalie.
The stands were packed with enthusiastic fans as the first period ended in a scoreless tie.
Ayr managed to get the puck past Kinucks goalie Kwade Beisel in the second.
The Kinucks tried their best to even up the score but time ran out and the Flames won the game, the series and the OMHA championship.
