Reader sad to see closure of Pine River Cheese

To the Editor:

The closure of Pine River Cheese is such sad news ... for the local dairy industry and for the customers.

It's absolutely the best cheese, from the curds to the extra old. It’s our family’s favourite, the other brands taste like “plastic” by comparison.

Pine River Cheese is my “go to” for hospitality gifts as well. We take it with us to Vancouver every time we visit our daughter, and have standing orders for our son-in-law’s family in British Columbia. 

It is also a piece of our local history.

So many reasons we are sorry to hear this news.
