Kincardine Guiding holds advancement ceremony
The Kincardine Sparks, Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders gathered at Kincardine Baptist Church for their annual advancement ceremony.
The girls marched in the colours (flags), and were joined by the crowd of parents, families and friends, in the singing of "O Canada."
The Pathfinders led the program, welcoming everyone, and then giving a description of each unit and the program it entails. The girls did their openings, and the advancement ceremony began.
The second-year Sparks moved up to Brownies. This included: Virginia Dahmer, Marley Dalcourt, Madelyn Dorscht, Gabrielle Garneau, Danika Middelkamp, Sienna Pye and Katherine Thompson.
The second-year Brownies moved up to Guides. This included: Elaina Ravell, Natalie Newton and Xenia Hilton.
The third-year Guides moved up to Pathfinders. This included: Makayla Roberts who also received her Lady Baden Powell award for completing extensive program work in her third year.
Several other awards, badges and crests were presented, including a special volunteer award to Andrea Hackett for her assistance in the Pathfinder unit this year.
The Pathfinders led the Campfire, followed by the closings, and refreshments.
