Close River Lane to traffic during school year, says reader

To the Editor:

The decision to change the enrollment at Kincardine District Senior School has put students at risk due to the roadway going through the schoolyard.

I would suggest closing the road (River Lane) with concrete barriers. School buses could come in from Broadway and use the loop at the north end of the school and the south side would still be used for parking.

This would end the need for any school crossing guards.

The road could be reopened in the summer when school is closed.
