Trillium Court residents serenaded from outside
The residents of Trillium Court Seniors' Community in Kincardine, enjoyed some beautiful music, thanks to two couples who serenaded them, Wednesday afternoon.
Since the facility is closed to visitors because of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, sisters Janet Browne and Judy Lockhart of Kincardine were unable to visit their father, Les Patterson, a resident at Trillium Court.
Lockhart's husband, Dave, is a musician, so he brought his guitar, and the four, including Browne's husband, Dave, set up an outdoor mini-concert, outside the atrium window.
“Staff wheeled Dad down to the slightly-open window so he could hear some of his favourite songs,” said Browne. “Bingo was also going on, so others could hear it from a distance. After losing Mom (Jean Patterson died in February), we want to keep Dad occupied and let him know we are still there for him.”
The rest of the residents enjoyed the singing as well.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all programs at Trillium Court have been cancelled.
