Kincardine mayor Anne Eadie praised the Kincardine Air Cadet program for developing many important skills in the youth of this community.
As the reviewing officer at the 27th annual review of the 183 Typhoon Squadron, Monday night at the Davidson Centre, Eadie said she was pleased to see young people learning these skills and being recognized for their accomplishments.
"It also looks like a lot of fun," she said, "with all the activities you do throughout the year, and the friendships you've made. As a former teacher, I like the discipline in this program. That's what it takes to complete tasks and work together. It leads to self-discipline and team discipline - a great skill to have.
"Another very important skill in life is leadership. Develop it in our young people and that makes for better communities. Congratulations on your achievements and I wish you all success in your future."

She also thanked the Kincardine Legion, the Municipality of Kincardine, the local media, Huron Heights Public School, local businesses that allow use of their premises for Tag Days, the sponsorship committee and the parent committee.
