South Bruce OPP report thefts; impaired driver; driver charged in two-vehicle accident
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN ATV
 

(GREENOCK TWP, ON) – June 11, at 7:10 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at a residence in the 200 block of Chepstow Road in Greenock Township. 

Sometime between 11:30 p.m. June 10, and 7 a.m. June 11, a red 2012 Yamaha YCD All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) with licence number 09XE8, was taken from a detached shed on the property.  The value of the stolen ATV is estimated to be $9,000.
 

FISHING EQUIPMENT STOLEN
 

(WALKERTON, ON) – June 9, at 9:40 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break, enter and theft at a residence along Orange Street in Walkerton. 

Sometime between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. June 9, fishing equipment was taken from the attached garage. The list of stolen property includes a large assortment of tackle, tackle trays, river fishing gear, fishing rods and reels. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be $5,500.
 

IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING COURT DATE
 

(ELDERSLIE TWP, ON) – June 9, at 6:40 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 10 in Elderslie Township, stopped a silver Honda Civic. 

The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol and had a quantity of illegal drugs in his possession. Thirty-year-old Donald TIFFANY of West Grey Township has been charged with operate over-80 milligrams, personation to avoid arrest, possess a controlled substance and two counts of drive while disqualified. He was held in custody pending the results of a show cause hearing June 9.
 

POLICE INVESTIGATING TRAILER THEFT
 

(GREENOCK TWP, ON) – June 8, at 6:19 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of the theft of a trailer at a residence in the 800 block of Bruce County Road 15 in Greenock Township. 

Sometime between 8 p.m. June 7, and 7 a.m. June 8, a black 2005 Canada Manufactured flat deck trailer with beaver tail ramps at the back, bearing licence plate K9735T, was taken. The value of the stolen trailer is estimated to be $10,000.


DRIVER CHARGED IN TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT

(HURON TWP, ON) - June 6, at 10:25 a.m., the South Bruce OPP was called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 21 in Huron Township near Bruce County Road 6 (Pine River). 

Officers arrived to find that both vehicles had been travelling northbound on Highway 21. The black Yukon was overtaking the Hyundai Veloster when the driver of the Hyundai made a left-hand turn. The driver of the Yukon veered off the roadway trying to avoid a collision with the Veloster. 

Three people from the involved vehicles were transported to hospital for assessment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyundai Veloster, a 52-year-old Alnwick-Haldimand Township woman, was charged with turn not in safety.
