The sun was shining and there was a brisk wind along the Lake Huron shoreline in Kincardine, Saturday afternoon – perfect weather for the Victoria Day weekend.
However, Station Beach, Kincardine, was vacant, as the Grey Bruce medical officer of health had ordered all municipalities in region to close their beaches and Lake Huron shores, due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
In the Town of Kincardine, not only were the beaches and shores closed, but also the boardwalks, the piers, the marina, the boat launch ramps – just about everything from the shoreline to Huron Terrace.
However, all was not lost. The fire ban was lifted, so people could enjoy a backyard campfire. The trails were still open as well, as long as they didn't lead to the shoreline.
Hopefully, most people enjoyed the sunshine on Saturday because the rest of the long weekend is forecast to be rainy and cooler.
Station Beach, Kincardine, was a lonely place Saturday afternoon, despite the beautiful weather
