Kincardine council should admit mistake and correct it, says reader

To the Editor:

The Kincardine marina and boat launch remain closed despite an order from the provincial government to re-open.

It is now apparent that this decision to remain closed, made by Kincardine mayor Anne Eadie's municipal government, resulted from the misinterpretation of an order by the Grey Bruce Health Unit to close beaches in the region.

Now that it is clear marinas were not to be included (others, such as Owen Sound and Wiarton, are open), it is time to admit the mistake and correct it.

Admission of a mistake is always difficult but to continue allowing our municipality to suffer unnecessarily, is unforgivable!
