We should all do some research about natural gas, says reader
To the Editor:
RE: “Local resident questions the need for natural gas in this area”

Excellent contribution to what people should consider when quickly "signing up" for this product.

Though I have not at all considered this as a reasonable addition to our community, I, myself, and all should do some research.

Fracking - where is this resource extracted from? Have you weighed the environmental consequences on its origin?

I have benefited from extremely-cheap natural gas while I resided in Saskatchewan. I also was located just two kilometres from a "burn-off."

Fracking for this product destabilizes the very ground we live on - earthquakes are common in frequently-fracked areas.

What is your history for dealing with companies like this? What will if offer the community?

Dangers are also associated with gas lines - what protection is being provided?

We all love to barbecue, but I'm not sure direct lines to EVERY kitchen is sustainable or safe.
