To the Editor:
RE: “Kincardine man proud of the building of Ram temple in Ayodhya, India”

Thank you to the author and editor for publishing the story about reinstatement of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, India.

"Ramayana" is an epic about the victory of good over evil and one of the significant sources depicting the essence of one of the oldest religions of the world, the eternal Hindu religion.

"Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" is a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu Manuscripts. Some of the meanings of this phrase are, "The world is one family," "All beings on the Earth belong to a single family," "All inclusiveness." Such a noble message, the important characteristic of Hinduism. Hinduism is the culture, the way of life, promoting social harmony, love and respect for all the beings on the Earth.

"Lord Rama" is the symbol of spirituality, sacrifices, moral values, endurance, self-restraint, selflessness, willpower to fight for justice and is revered by over a billion people all over the world, people having their roots in countries of Indian subcontinent, such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Maldives, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka etc. "Lord Rama" has been an infinite source of inspiration for people, motivating them to lead life by examples, be good citizens, be respectful to all, and to hold healthy family values; the key ingredients of the ideal society, just and safe for everyone.

Resurrection of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, India, following the recent verdict from the Supreme Court of India, will ease the hundreds of years of agony experienced by peaceful followers of Hindu religion caused by the destruction of the Ancient Ram Temple by the then invaders.

This event will be marked in the history of India as one of the greatest victories of democracy and further strengthen the faith of people in the judicial system and democratic governance. Salute to the judicial system of India, democratic governments, social workers from all the faiths, historians, archaeologists, political parties, leaders, non-governmental organizations, common people who contributed toward reaching this historic milestone. Special gratitude for people from other faiths who extended their support for a fair trial by the Indian judicial system.

Thank you,
Sagar Kadam
