ARREST MADE AT CAR WASH BREAK-IN
(WALKERTON, ON) – June 29, at 1:32 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break-in at the Walkerton Car Wash.
Officers arrived to find a man in a white Acura GSR at the scene. A quantity of illegal drugs was found in the vehicle. The driver, a 19-year-old Carrick Township man, was charged with possession of break-in tools and possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to attend court Aug. 10 to answer to the charges. There is no estimate on repairs to the car wash, at this time.
MASTERCRAFT COMPRESSOR STOLEN
(WALKERTON, ON) – June 28, at 7:27 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from a residence in the 300 block of South Street in Walkerton.
Sometime between June 24 and June 28, a blue Mastercraft one-gallon compressor was taken from a detached shed on the property. The value of the stolen compressor is estimated to be $40.
POLICE INVESTIGATING VEHICLE DAMAGE/PURSE THEFT
(CHESLEY, ON) – June 27, at 4:09 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from the parking lot at the Chesley Ball Diamonds located along 4th Avenue Southeast in Chesley.
Sometime between 1:30-4 p.m. June 27, the rear window of a silver Volkswagen Jetta was smashed and the purse was taken. The stolen purse is large with two handles and a horse design on it. At the time of the theft contents included: a health card, debit card, credit cards, a quantity of cash and various other sundries.
CALLER HELPS POLICE STOP IMPAIRED DRIVER
(HURON TWP, ON) – June 26, at 10:48 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of an erratic driver crossing the centreline in a black Pontiac ML2 on Highway 21 in Huron Township.
Officers located the vehicle and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Forty-three-year-old Pamela GOLDEN of Guelph was charged with impaired driving, care or control over-80 milligrams and dangerous driving. She is scheduled to appear in court July 27, to answer to the charges.
