Readers weigh in on traffic and parking concerns
To the Editor:
RE: “Kincardine needs round-abouts at Highway 21 intersections, says resident”

If you put round-abouts in, make sure they are big enough, with double lanes, so the traffic can safely flow through.

I have seen some too small for long trucks and tractors with trailers to safely get around.

I had to slow down and follow a bicyclist because there was no shoulder for him to ride on, just the one lane in the round-about.

RE: “Downtown Kincardine resident questions site plan for development next door”

I realize we need affordable housing in Kincardine desperately, but why doesn't the developer put in a three-storey, paid-parking garage instead and kill two birds with one stone?

The developer would have continuous year-round income and maximize the downtown parking options available for tourists and business professionals in the downtown core.
