(GODERICH & ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) - Huron County OPP officers continue to investigate cases of vehicles and homes being damaged by vandals using pellet and BB guns in and around the Goderich area.
On Canada Day Huron OPP officers received information about two more incidents pellet-gun mischief.
In Goderich, a Martha Street resident reported her Toyota sedan was damaged by pellet-gun projectiles. The vehicle had a small hole in the rear window and small dents in the rear bumper area and passenger-side door. The damage occurred sometime overnight between June 30 and July 1.
Also on July 1, Huron OPP officers were notified of an incident of pellet-gun mischief that took place on Saltford Road. The owner of a Ford Mustang reported his vehicle had been shot at with several pellets sometime over the past week.
Huron OPP officers, including members from the Huron OPP Property Crimes Unit, continue to investigate these crimes. These mischief incidents may seem like to pranks to some; however, they are crimes that carry significant penalties upon conviction including fines and imprisonment.
