NOVICE DRIVER WILL TRY WALKING FOR SEVEN DAYS
(HURON TWP, ON) – July 2, at 2:34 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Highway 21 in Huron Township, noticed a black Nissan 3ZC moving at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle speed was displayed on radar at more than 140 km /h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The driver, an 18-year-old London man, was charged with race a motor vehicle and drive with no current validation. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 11 to answer to the charges.
TWO MEN FACING ASSAULT CHARGES
(KINCARDINE, ON) – July 1, at 10:20 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a fight at Station Beach in Kincardine.
Officers arrived to find that two men had assaulted a male teen. The accused - a 19-year-old Barrie man and a 19-year-old Kincardine man - are each facing one count of assault and cause disturbance. They are scheduled to appear in court July 27, to answer to the charges. There were minor injuries reported at the scene.
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN BOAT MOTOR
(BRANT TWP, ON) – June 29, at 11:36 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from a residence in the 1000 block of Bruce County Road 4 in Brant Township.
Sometime between 12 a.m. June 26, and 8 a.m. June 29, a black Motorglide electric trolling motor was taken from the owner’s boat which was docked on the Saugeen River. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be $200.
