Lots of people on boardwalk, beach, piers, says reader

To the Editor:
RE: “Station Beach, Kincardine, vacant on beautiful Victoria Day weekend”

There sure were a lot of people walking the boardwalk, sitting on park benches, and walking the beach and the piers in Kincardine last evening (May 16), from 8-9:15 p.m., as we met a friend for a tea and visit and parked on the street at the band-shell (in Dunsmoor Park).

I thought perhaps it might be watched by police. However, the one officer we saw, parked at the Pavilion, then drove off, heading south - either not interested or blind!

Many other people filled the parking lot by Macpherson Park, driving on the boardwalk, in groups of six-plus!
